'' Fire & Ice'' Range
Silver, 18ct gold and gemstone
I use a butane and oxygen powered torch which produces a very hot, but small flame. Using this torch (and with many years practice) I have developed the skill to control the melting of the edge of the silver, resulting in the fluted effect you see in this range.
the "fire " element
Using the same torch and a handheld crucible, I heat the 18ct gold to around 1000 degrees centigrade before cooling it rapidly in ice. This results in abstract, textured, organic shapes which are then applied individually to each piece of jewellery.
The ''Ice '' element
I then carefully select one or more beautiful gemstones to complete each unique and highly desirable piece of jewellery in this range. Commissions for a piece in this range are welcomed
